Elf review number two.

Hey, everyone. So I know i've been pretty MIA(missing in action, a lot of people seem to not know what that means.), but I'm back ! If you follow me on twitter, you know that I was sent some products from elf to test out and review on here. Well it's been 1-2 weeks, so I feel I have had enough time with them to give an honest review. So let's get into it(:

Elf mineral concealer in light;

  This concealer in one word is, stunning. It goes on SO incredibly easy, and it stays. It conceals redness very suprisingly well. If you put this over pimples, it does kinda fit around the pimple so it looks flatter. I don't mean that like it will look like a hill instead of a mountain, haha.

Bottom line: I HIGHLY recommend this product if your looking for a good concealer, well, duh, no one wants to buy a bad concealer. Haha, you know what I mean ! I will be purchasing this product when I run out(:

Elf eyeshadow quad in Butternut;

   There are 4 colors in this, ones a shimmery, light yellow, more like a champagne yellow. Another is kind of a peachy color that's shimmery. These eyeshadows aren't that shimmery, just enough to look TOTALLY adorable. Another is a dark kind of purplely, black, shimmery color. The last color is a shimmery brown. They are very nice colors. They don't come out to light or to strong.

Bottom line: I would purchase this quad myself. I do recommend though not using all the colors in one eye look, it's just hard to get it to blend. But I do recommend this quad. It has some amazing colors.

Elf lipgloss in pink kiss;

     This is one lipgloss your  pretty much guarenteed to buy again. And again. And again. And again. This particular shade is actually pretty matte, like a lipstick, but glides on like a lipgloss. It does stink a little though, that's the only con. It's not a strong smell at all, maybe some people will like the scent, but for me, I don't really like the scent of it. But hey, not all lipglosses have good smells. I think the smell kinda comes with the matte look in a lipgloss, you know what I mean ?

Bottom line: I will purchase this lipgloss myself when I run out. I LOVE the matte look in it ! How many other lipglosses have been able to pull that off ?! I definately recommend this product.

Elf Natural Radiance Blusher in Innocence;

   I feel like this blush is a summer time blush. It goes on extrememly lightly, so if you heading to a pool, it's a GREAT blush to just swipe up your cheek bones. It's also more of a summer time blush because in the summer, you usually don't want a lot of pink on your cheeks, you just want a little hint of pink, like the littlest hint ever. This blush is perfect for that. Don't get me wrong, it's a VERY good blush, but i'll probably use it more when it gets around the middle of spring. But this is the lightest shade they have, so that's probably why it's so, light. haha.

Bottom line: I do recommend this blush. Just be careful what shade you get. I like this blush, but i'm not sure I'd repurchase it. Probably only in the summer would I repurchase it.

Victoria's Secret lipgloss versus MAC lipgloss

This blog is going to be a comparison of Victoria's Secret(VS) makeup against MAC makeup. I hope you guys like it(:

Victoria's Secret lip gloss

The VS's lipgloss costs ten dollars, and the amount of lipgloss in it is .27 oz. That's a good size for a good price. Since becoming a beauty guru, I have found myself liking things with pretty packaging more. Ha, i think that happens to all girls, I guess i've just noticed it more now. Ha, oh well ! But as you can see, the bottle of lipgloss is very sheek looking, and it looks like a very high end department store lipgloss. I tried one of these at the Victoria's Secret store, sadly I don't remember what the name color was, but it was amazing. It made my lips very shiny and glossy. It goes on pretty easily. Overall: I love their lip glosses.

MAC lipgloss (also called lip glasses)                                                                                                     

The MAC lipglosses are 14 dollars for .17 ounces, .10 less ounces than Victoria's Secret and 4 dollars more. What ? Yeah, I know. Now personally, I have not tried the MAC liglosses, and I really don't have a reason too. All MAC products are a little to expensive for my taste. If I had money, any money at all, I'd probably buy a lipgloss that goes farther. If you have money to spend, then buy whatever makes you happy. A little chessy ? I don't know. But this sounds like i'm working for Victora's Secret, which i'm NOT. A wardrobe essential

Sorry I've been on a lack of blog posts, so I thought hey, how about I post something that everyone would like to have in their closet ? A key piece of clothing that looks great with anything !

One of my favorite fashion pieces are cardigans. If you have a long sleeve one, you can still wear it in the spring. Here's some pictures of some cute cardigans:

Some of these cardigans have shirts underneath, but they don't come like that. All these cardigans are old navy and can be found here : http://www.oldnavy.com/ 

I posted all Old Navy ones because Old Navy just has very good quality of clothes and they are VERY inexpensive. I'm sure you've all seen the super modelquin commercials for them. Well those are just hoaxes, Old Navy does have very good quality clothes and are cheap. As far as I know, all these cardigans come in different colors. I know a few of them do, but i'm not sure about the others.

Winter can take a toll on your skin. I think that's why lotion lovers love winter, too. In winter, you need to moisturize EVERYTHING. For legs and arms, put lotion on after you get out of the shower. The steam from the shower opens your skin and cleanses it, so the lotion sinks in and sticks a lot better. I also recommend washing your face in the shower because the steam, again, opens up your pores and allows for the cleanser to really sink in a clean your face and extract all the oils. But you don't need to take 2 showers a day just to wash your face. If you want to go that extra mile for perfect skin, when you are washing your face when you aren't taking a shower, but a warm washcloth over your face for 5-10 minutes, whichever feels right for you and when your pores feel open. Then just wash your face and you get the same effect. Wash your face and then put moisturizer on. I think that's about it. Enjoy your newfound smooth skin !(:

Here are some beauty tricks because I didn't want to get behind on my posts, and i needed something ! haha. Also, guess how much snow we got ?! Today is Friday, and we have probably about 5 or 6 inches. ?! Crazy, right ? And it isn't supposed to stop until noon on saturday. So tomorrow, I think i will post a blog about keeping your hair healthy in the winter and prepared for summer, so be on the lookout for that. And also, I may get a day or 2 behind on posting because there is just a lot of things happening around here right now. they are a little to personal to say, but follow me on twitter and i will update on what i am doing and you'll know about new blog posts. so on to the tricks...


1. "AHH!!!! my mascara tip hit my skin when i put it on and now i have a big black mark on my eye !"
Fear not ! If you want to get that pesky mascara smudge off of your eye without ruining your makeup, just wait on the mascara to dry completely, take a q-tip, and simply wipe it off. It doesn't require you to get the q-tip wet or get some sort of fancy make-up remover, just a dry normal q-tip.

2. "But i need to do my mascara without getting it on my skin and i don't have a q-tip."
all you need to do is take a piece of paper, preferably something a little thicker like a business card, place it under your eye and do you bottom lashline. Or put it on op of your eye and do your top lashline. the card needs to be right near your lashline, and you need to manuever it as you move down your lashline.

3. "I woke up late and don't have time to take a shower but my hair is a little greasy !"
All you need to do to soak up that grease is have so baby powder. But warning, it will make your hair static-y. You could go to the store and just get a trial size bottle of dry shampoo, like on the go airplane stuff, but if you can't, all you need to do is take the baby powder, put some in your hand, and slowly sprinkle it all down your hair line. Let it sit for about 2 minutes, then starting at the roots, brush it down. You can put a little sprinkle of baby powder on each side of your hair and brush it down. Then just do a little once-over type of thing on your hair line and all your hair and your good to go. You can edit this method to what works best for you.


Well it's 3 in the morning, and i need to go to sleep. you can bet i'll be sledding tomorrow, well, technically today. So night everyone !
This post made me feel like the queen of run-on sentences. haha.

January Favorites

January Favorites

So as everyone knows, beauty gurus put up favorites for every month at the end of the month. So here's mine. I hope you guys get inspired to try something new, or you already have something that is on this list and you love it just as much. Leave a comment if you use the same products or your faves for January(:

Hair Products:

1. Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly-
This stuff, is totally amazing. I am a beach type of person, and I'm not like oh my gosh, my hair isn't straight ! I like tousled waves, which leads me to my next couple things...

2. Garnier Fructis Surf Hair-
This. Stuff. Smells. AMAZING. if i could only smell one smell for the rest of my life, this would be it. I love the texture of it andhow easily it goes in my hair. It really lets me just mess with my hair and get it perfect.

3. Tresemme Mouse-
This is actually the first time I've used mousse. But again, it helps with the beach waves. It's a little ironic that the girl with naturally really straight hair would like wavy hair that likes to not go wavy. haha.

4. Garnier Fructis Leave-In Conditioner-
I don't like using regular conditioner in the shower because it makes my hair fall out like CRAZY. I could make a hair montage on my bathroom wall of all my hair ! haha. yeah, not lying. This stuff also smells amazing. It makes my hair so silky smooth and detangles it.

Make-up products:

5. Loreal Telescopic Explosion mascara-
if you are looking for a good mascara, go for this one. This is by far my favorite mascara EVER. It has like a , torture ball looking end. I've always had trouble get my mascara wand in the inside of my eye and i'd get lots of mascara smudges, so the little ball lets me get right in there and get them perfect ! (:

6. Covergirl Trublend liquid foundation-
This foundation gives me a very photofinish, perfect look. It has amazing coverage, and it makes my skin look a little darker, but not tan. I know that doesn't make sense, but it's true. ha.

7. Physicians Formula powder palette multi-colored blush in blushing rose-
This blush gives me the perfect flushed look. I have very rosy cheeks, so the foundation covers that up, then the blush makes it perfect. I have a feeling I will NEVER use a different blush.

Misc. products:

8. Giorgio Armani Armani Code perfume-
I loveeee this perfume. It is expensive, though. I asked for it for Christmas since it was so expensive. I got the biggest bottle, i don't know how many ounces it is, but it's the bigger one, i'm pretty sure the biggest. It came with a dupe lotion, too(:

9. Proactiv refining mask-
This is really good to just put on 2 or so pimples and they will be gone by morning. For some reason, i find it works A LOT better if i put it in just one spot or on just one pimple. It seems to not work as well when it's in a few spots. Weird, I know.

10. LG Chocolate Touch from Verizon Wireless-
I am in LOVEEEEEEEEE with this phone ! My contract was up, so I got a new phone for Christmas as well(:

11. Seventeen Magazine-
3 words: best magazine ever.
